It was a tourist attraction, a maze of underground bunkers that had been inactive since the war. (I don’t know which war or where these bunkers were) I was walking around this maze of bunkers with a group of tourists. At one point we stumbled upon a television set that was showing a war movie. The movie was just about to start. I left the group to get closer to the monitor.
In the opening credits of the movie the words “PLATOON” and “BONBONS” came up. The word “BONBONS” was written in pink and it was split over two lines like this:
BON
BONS
“Platoon” and “Bonbons” were the names of two other famous war movies.
The opening shot of the movie was set in an underground room that looked like a prison cell. It had four white walls. There was a small bed with a small barred window above it. Opposite the bed was an iron door. In this room there was a mother and her child, a random man, a tough-looking commando and an owl. The commando had a big green bag. He was emptying the bag’s contents. The very last item was a big rattlesnake.
I suddenly found myself in the room that I was seeing on the monitor. I was in the movie but it all felt real. The first thought that popped into my head was that the snake and the owl weren’t going to be friends. At that moment, the snake started chasing the owl around the room. The snake was moving fast around the people’s legs. It's body was longer than the perimeter of the room and it was slithering over its own body.
At this point, the people became very scared. There was a lot of commotion in the room. The commando decided to take control of the situation by picking up the snake from the tail and pulling it out of the room. This took a lot of time and effort from the commando due to the size and weight of the snake. When the commando finally managed to carry the snake out through iron door, he went after the owl which was flying around the room. The owl was as scared as the people.
In no time, the commando caught the owl and tied its legs together with some string. He then put the owl between a pair of headphones with very big ear pieces so that it couldn’t move. He gave me the owl and told me to hold it for him while he went to look for his snake outside of the room. I took the piece of string that was holding the owl’s legs and tied it to another piece of string that was hanging from the ceiling of the room.
The owl didn’t move. It was hanging upside down from a string, motionless. After a few minutes of looking at the owl I decided to let it free again. I untied the piece of string and removed the headphones. As soon as I took off the headphones the owl came back to life and flew away. But as I removed the headphones hot, yellow liquid dropped from out of the headphone’s ear pieces. It was owl vomit. It had a terrible smell which made me want to throw up. (it made me want to throw up both in the dream and in real life, which caused me to wake up in the middle of the night).
